~ Tapos na? ~

I have been voting in our country’s elections for the past thirteen years already. Four times I’ve already voted and I am glad I am using my right to vote.

I know you’re frustrated pero year in, year out pa din naman ang frustrations natin starting sa elections up to our government. So, why bother?

Are you going to spend your time hating the elections or instead, move on and help our country?

Trust me, if you don’t care at all, you’ll just pick the first option. You won’t vote for the 2013 elections and you’d just say, “I don’t care”.

Then, why don’t you just leave this country? Hindi ba? (Of course, people who still care deserve to stay in this country).

Remember that you have no right to blame the government of anything if you don’t care. And to add, you have to participate. Kahit sa pagboto man lang.

I just have to add this, our history suck. We are a forgiving and forgetful country. It is just plain sad to see that we could still see the same faces who tainted our mother country. And ang nakakatawa, it is as if every thing that they’ve done is a thing of the past and they are self-righteously clean. Sad but true.

I just want to share my Senatorial slate: Acosta, Martin Bautista, Biazon, David, Drilon, Guingona, Hontiveros, Lim, Mitra, Ople, Roco, and Sison.

Baka kasi sabihin niyo na holier than though ako. Three years ago, I did the same thing, I voted for people who I think should get the Senatorial position. I am actually voting for Bautista, the second time around. It is quite funny that a friend informed me that he’s not voting for Martin because the guy is arrogant. Dude, have you seen the other candidates and even the local ones? They are brimming with arrogance (one of which is even running for VP, ang sabi nga niya pag natalo pa daw siya, nagkaroon daw ng dayaan. Out of all the candidates, it shows na yung mga taong ito ay may greed for power. Sad but true.)

Aside from the artista re-electionists (na ayaw ko na din manalo. See, I didn’t vote for Revilla na ang net worth ay 125 million pesos, san siya kumuha ng pera), I am disgusted on why the Marcoses are having posts in the government. We have Imelda who won in Ilocos (?) and Bongbong, who had more than seven million votes alone in the senate.

Which brings us to the idea of the ability of a person to serve. As Filipinos, from the past decades, we had a number of intelligent “leaders”. Nakita mo ba yung tinapos at nagawa ni GMA? Matalino yan, look what happened, left and right ang scandal. And san ka ba naman nakakita ng taong kulang pa ang greed sa power sa katawan, ayun tumakbo ulit siya for a local position. Then, there’s Marcos, matalino din siya, he was a bar topnotcher while studying in prison (nasa history books ba ito, heh). This same person gave us Martial Law with the use of Enrile’s smart tactics. Ayun, napakaraming mga unlawful deeds na nangyari nung time nila pero what happened after? Nakalimutan na lang. Shit.

People have the great ability to hate the Aquinos, kung ano mang reason yung nag-surface, it is quite obvious na matinding mudslinging ang nangyari.

And he’s the great confidante of his mom. He even mastered his gun skills para ipagtanggol ang nanay niya sa walong coup attempts. And again, ginamit ba nila ngayon yan?

Remember that we are living in a third world country, napakaraming street smart sa Pilipinas. Yes, we deserve someone who is of average in nature. We’re not yet ready for someone who is intelligent. If you’re saying na bobo ang mga Pilipino, then you’re wrong. Did you do your part of reaching out to the provinces and tell them who the right candidate is? Of course not, you’re too busy facebooking-mudslinging.

And that’s where the survey comes in. Anong sabi ni Pulse Asia? They were accurate all along. Who listened? A few people. Kasi hindi ka naman talaga ganun ka-interested sa politics in a whole, enjoy lang tayo sa mga negative things. Nag-enjoy tayo sa so-called improper debate sa channel 2. Etc. etc. etc.

We enjoy the trivial things but basically, what are we going to do after the elections? Are you patiently waiting for the SONA?

Too much negativity in this country, we can do better than that.

Iyan lamang ang iba kong mga naiisip. Alam ko ang dami kong punchline kay Binay ngayon pero I have to add na nung kinasal si Roxas kay Korina ay napailing na lang ako, that was really a bad timing for the two. Napag-pyestahan tuloy sila ng media.
