:: woah, pinoy films! ::

This is such a nice month for Filipino films. It actually started last month, with a kick-off of our special participant, The Bourne Legacy; prior to that we had Pinoy Super Kid and The Healing, that was shown a week before.

It was then increased to two films per week. We had The Reunion and Just One Summer. And the week after, we had Guni-guni and Mga Mumunting Lihim.

And after that, surprisingly, we were given three films (two of which are shown for a certain minority) such as Amorosa, I Do Bidoo Bidoo, and Ang Jowa. And then, we had Captive, Bwakaw, and Hardinero. For this week, we have The Mistress, Ang Nawawala, and Graceland.

Awesome, right?

Also, up and coming are: Rigodon, Pridyider, and Of All The Things. I think Biktima is included in the Next Attraction too.

I really do hope that this is not just a trend. Let this be the new face of Filipino cinema.

Admittedly, I’ve only seen Mga Mumunting Lihim, Ang Nawawala, I Do Bidoo Bidoo, and The Captive. Looks like a busy home viewing for me for the next month or so.

Come on peeps, let us support what is ours. And even if the film is ugly, let’s start a discourse.
